Application of Knowledge Assets
OCU leverages KIP Protocol's cutting-edge decentralized Retrieval Augmented Generation (dRAG) solution. This Web3 foundation layer specifically designed for AI seamlessly connects to each educator's existing knowledge base. This allows OCU to create a dynamic, chatbot-like experience for learners.
In addition to the chatbot-like experience, OCU utilizes a personalized quiz generator. This AI-powered tool tailors quizzes to each learner's knowledge base, identifying strengths and weaknesses to create a focused and effective learning experience.
$10m Academic Grants Onboarding Fund
In August 2024 the Open Campus DAO passed a proposal to create a $10m academic grants fund to encourage onboarding to the OCU platform, managed jointly by Open Campus and KIP.
With a $10 million budget, we will be embarking on an ambitious journey to innovate education, aiming to reach 23,000 universities and impact over 254 million students. Over the next 18-24 months, our objectives include onboarding 400 professors, offering 900 curated courses, and attracting 1,000,000 new Open Campus learners. This initiative will expand the reach of the Open Campus ecosystem into tertiary education and academic research, creating new and exciting opportunities powered by AI.
This initiative underscores our commitment to reshaping education by leveraging AI and blockchain technologies. This funding will support the development and launch of OCU, ensuring that the platform is equipped with state-of-the-art features and capabilities.
